Do I need to operate my heat pump with glycol?
the answer is you should! The heat pump has a build in freeze protection and will circulate the glycol if it gets too cold. However on a complete failure you would lose this functionality such as a power outage. We recommend a 20-40% ratio depending on where you are located.
